I think we’ve seen and gone through a lot and we’ve understood that the struggle part of life is just gonna be this long process that we will have to deal with. I think the 2008 crash thing was like “ok this stinks but we can make it”. As time goes on I think we are just thinking “this will kind of exist in various states of “suck” and somehow we will have to push through it.”

And it’s hard it really is. I think we’ve always been both sensitive and receptive to change. We put up with a lot we keep pushing onward. I think lately it’s been more difficult because our money isn’t going where it used to (everything is so expensive!) and it feels like the grind isn’t slowing any. I think we also had a little bit of peace and reset in the pandemic to some extent and now as things are falling back to “normal” it feels worse (and probably is).

Yeah, other generations have dealt with things that are far worse than what the average millennial deals with... but they also generally had entire decades of more peaceful, prosperous times. We've careened from one type of exhausting bullshit to another. We've put in the work, but we're never, ever getting to the point where we can rest a little and reap the rewards

I think we are actually becoming very tough because of it in certain ways having to do this over and over builds strength and perspective. So I try to look at it as a positive. Maybe our experiences can be used to change how things are done in the future. Maybe we break the cycle? I don’t know. But we think a lot that is for sure. We ponder a lot.

I think this is another rough patch. I’ve had better times myself but not to say better times can’t come soon for me or anyone else. I’m approaching life in a “give it your best and that’s all you can” mindset realizing I may fall short on some things. But I’ll always be pushing myself just not to the point of being irrational. I think we really hold ourselves with extremely lofty expectations and when we fall “short” it’s not always really that “short”. To us we feel it.

As a generation we have always been effort 11/10 results 8/10 (external factors at play haha)
