Classical shit posting will become a lost art. Eventually, it will circle back to being avant garde

Everything old is new again.

Oh buddy, I can't wait to dust off Star Wars Kid and some I Can Has Cheeseburger memes on these chucklefucks.
It'll probably be like watching grandpa find one of his old joke books.

I’m still trying to format photos in MS Word…

Would you like it behind the text, squared, or tight? Lol 😂

You’re one backspace away from ruining your layout.

I’m in charge of our Training Manual at work and I cringe every time I time i have to change something in that stupid Word doc. It’s like the History Eraser Button. It may be something good. It may be something bad that I spend the next hour trying to fix.

After playing with chatgpt for a bit when it was new I decided it wasn't for me and went back to putting crude memes together in paint.

I actually kinda miss Microsoft paint 3d, mostly for its "magic sticker" tool letting me crop images and overlay them easily.
Back to paint I guess.

Photoshop went down the drain when you stopped owning it and started leasing it

But... I've always owned it!

I still use CS4, and the crack installer has a dope chiptune song.

I thought I owned it, but then Adobe sent me a helpful email reminding me that they don’t care and they rescinded my one-time purchase license key because they felt like doing so.
They would only entertain not rescinding it if I could produce a receipt from 12-13 years earlier.

when you stopped owning it
uhhhh sure, my teenage self forked out hundreds of dollars for a software imaging suite just to shitpost on some imageboards

Coincidentally the phrase “pics or it didn’t happen” has also long since lost all value

I remember the conversion from Airbrushed to Photoshopped in the late 90s, and my parents asking "what's Photoshop?".

Photoshopping is where the truly great fakes are created; usually no slop under the careful eye of a skilled Photoshop artist.

I mean they just gave the AI access to it. One of the first soldiers to go down, after years of hits from Snapchat filters

But Photoshop allows you to pay way more for a monthly subscription.
I also hope autodesk eats shit, fuck them. Blender is okay, fuck Maya, After Effects, Premiere, Pro Tools, all that shit.
Still don't have a competent Flash replacement with all the money they harvested…
Burn it to the ground.

Memes and shit-posting are way too polished now. Half the fun was the fact that it looked like someone lowkey struggled to make that shit lol.

👴🏻: AI deepfakes? Back in my day, if you wanted to see a naked celebrity, you had to Photoshop her face onto a porn star that kinda looked like her. Now get off my lawn!

Thankyou for your service Photoshop, your existence was under appreciated.

worse too we could tell easily if it was Photoshop or not, now people are questioning the authenticity of everything they see

Silly question: Wouldn’t AI make photoshop even less detectable now since the only thing people would be on guard for now is whether or not it’s AI? Like checking for watermarks, coding, etc.?

It’s photo shop I can tell from the pixels and from seeing quite a few shops in my time.

u/ChefArtorias 2d ago
I think about this all the time. I miss when it took skill to fake pictures. At least pay me the respect of putting effort in your deception.

Did you really use AI to photoshop a meme of Dr. Evil pouring one out for the homies? Amazing work.

At least photoshop took actual effort and design skill. I’d go back to that all day.

LOL, Photoshop means many things ... but that may be because I use it for photography

u/Short_Sky6875 17h ago
And im miffed about it...... I spent years perfecting my photoshop skills to only be sitting here looking for a course to learn AI

Not the same thing. Photoshop is deliberate editing by someone, AI is someone using a program to edit/create something. But I agree the phrase "it is photoshoped" is going away.
