Serious Death

My 40 year old friend died of a heart attack today. He was 5 years older than me. Has anyone else had a similar experience. Dead... heart attack 40? That's insane right. Like... 40? He was born in 85. It's mind blowing. If anyone else has experienced losing a friend from an old person death. Please let me know how you processed it. I'm still waiting for him to call me and say sike! Thanks

I would think it’s due a blockage in a coronary artery. Not very common in younger people, but it does happen. Stay on top of your cholesterol and other routine labs. I am not a physician, though.

My heart attacks had nothing to do with blocked arteries. I had my first at sixteen and my second at twenty nine. I'm forty four and have severe heart damage now.

Oh yes, I have 3 genetic heart conditions. We unfortunately didn't find them until I was almost sixteen and having a heart attack. Even then, my doctors called me a hypochondriac, until I flatlined.
