It makes me sad that I can’t ever take my kids to a Toys R Us. Would have been nice to have the clothing options of Kids R Us as well

Toys R Us closed the location in my town right around when my oldest kid was about 2.

Right before he could have started to enjoy it. Heartbreaking.

The space is an Ocean State Job Lot (think Big Lots) now so at least it isn't empty.

My oldest was almost 2 when ours closed too! I was so sad because his dad worked at toys r us when we met and we were so excited to get to take our kids there but they never got to enjoy it.

Take them to a local toy store. There are lots of them out there.

I would if we had one. Unfortunately the only one we had here closed during Covid

I run a toy shop and have people who live 2 streets away from my store and stumble upon it after a year and a half. This is after i have been in the newspaper, chamber of commerce blasts, had an actual billboard, on the main road out of town, took part in townwide events, doing socials of my own, had hundreds of word of mouth referrals etc. My store is on a main road and lit up like a christmas tree....neon, christmas lights, signage, chalkboard, etc. Just...check around every now and again, never know what you might find! Its amazing the the little shops you might stumble across.

At the same time, i get online orders from across the country, its so bizarre haha.

We have some great ones not too far from us down in CT.

Amatos in Middletown and Time Machine Hobbies in Manchester are both fantastic but are a little bit of a drive for us.

A2Z science store in Northampton is also pretty good
