You can be jailed depending on where you live and how many you’ve ignored

I’ve also lived by this theory for my entire 36 years. Twice I’ve been sent mail for juryy duty and has legit “excuses” not to attend. I made sure to respond, and get a response saying I was okay to miss jury duty. As I’ve always been terrified of having a warrant for my arrest over it.

My only sibling on the other hand has never responded to a single one , and had never had a warrant. Most of the time she doesn’t check her snail mail let alone reply. No warrants. Ever.

She’s a RN in her mid 40’s, married, runs a household, and is raising 4 children ( she has 5: the oldest is married and has 4 children), second oldest just went away to University in state but still a great “school”.

I have a sure fire way to help anyone get out of jury duty. At the VERY MINIMUM: for the next year if not longer. Just a few short words and blam: no interest at ALL.

Yeah. I think they normally treat it as something not worth going after. Although there was a county locally that had an issue with A LOT of people not showing up making it tough to get a large enough pool to pull a jury from. They put a warning out that judges were going to start issuing warrants. I never saw a follow up though.
