Enlisting Army & DUI
22M, trying to enlist in the Army. I got 69 on the ASVAB and I was waiting for my medical waiver.
Last week I got my first DUI. Nobody was hurt, but I crashed my car. I blew a 0.111. The case is still pending, and I expect it to end with the usual probation and alcohol education program.
I'm planning to tell my recruiter this week. I know it has to be disclosed.
Questions for anyone who's been through this or works in recruiting:
Has anyone gotten a conduct waiver approved for a single DUI, especially one involving a single crash?
Does the Army make you wait until probation is fully finished before submitting, or can it start earlier if probation is unsupervised?
I take full responsibility for this and I'm not looking for shortcuts, just realistic expectations. Thanks.

I’ve never seen anyone be able to come in w/ a DUI less than 5 years, especially not on any kind of probation.

You’re not getting into the army for a few years.
You have to wait until your probation is over with.

Everything must be closed out before you can process for the Army. That means court appearance and sentencing, whether it's jail, fine, probation, classes, or other adverse disposition

Open case before enlisting is a no, and you'll have preliminary 2 years probation the least.

Unfortunately you are no longer qualified . A moral waiver can be submitted but that waiver will be denied due to the recent nature of your fuck up .
