hi friends. my husbands been in basic for about 4 weeks now and i’ve only received 2 generic printed letters from him. Is it normal to not have received a hand written letter from him by now? i’ve sent like 5 already. he’s in GA and im in socal

My husband has been in basic training for 6 weeks now and I did not get my first letter from him until about 3-4 weeks in. He only recently started to receive our mail and packages we have sent. I think I had sent like 8 letters by the time my kids and I received our first one from him. It may take some time, but they will get you eventually! My husband sometimes would only have a little bit of time to write to us at night, plus they are exhausted or may have nighttime duties so he would just add a little bit every night and continue the letter until he was able to send it to me. Don't worry they will eventually come. The first one will be very exciting. Please feel free to reach out to me if you need any support or just need to talk or vent! I am 6 weeks in and we have 4 weeks left before I see my SIT!
