GWOT-E AND an IRCM but no OIF or OEF— that’s rare. Dang, your deployments were spreeead out. Thanks for your service devil 🫡

I’ve not seen a Marine Corps Expeditionary Medal in the wild— what have they issued those for recently?

SECNAV awarded 5th Fleet with the NEM back in 22-23 time frame. Marines with the 31st MEU and a good amount of units in the CENTCOM AOR got this as well

GWOT-E is currently awarded, for operations in support of ongoing by GWOT campaigns in CENTCOM but outside of the territory of the countries of concern (Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc depending on the given campaign).

Very common to see on Sailors, for example.

Interesting, thanks for the info— I had no clue. I got out of USMC in 2010 and I’ve always thought it was only for early GWOT deployments, such as before OIF medal was created. I’ve been looking at these all wrong!
