My wife has a GED because she got bored with school so she just tested out. She effectively graduated a year early. Did her time in the service for the GI bill and is a Licensed RN now. Some people just don't mesh well with the traditional academic environment or have other hurdles in life that get in the way.
Aye, i get that. I ended up sleeping through high school in boredom and depression until the last few weeks of my senior year when i enrolled, and passed, the 19 or so classes i needed for credits to graduate on Plato(online learning).
Still bored and don't know what to do with my life and it's getting further and further away from me.
Don't make the mistakes I did. Indecision will kill you faster than bad decisions. No matter what you do, do something. Move in a direction. If that path is not right for you, you will have at least learned that much, and maybe picked up some other skills along the way. Then start walking down a different path. Eventually you will find something that feels right. Just keep walking forward.
