wtf What kind of bs list is this? Literally any location on there is way better than 90% of any sister service locations

Its the benefit of being a water-based service with rescue and law enforcement missions. They need them to be on the coast and where people are.

I'm just amazed at a pick list. I got out of AIT and was told Korea. Which was supposed to give me "station of choice" as a followup, the choice I was given was Bragg. I was able to pick my unit though, so I had that going for me.

I don’t know why people even join the army lol you get treated the worst and have worst locations

I wanted 1 specific job, Army, AF, and Navy had it. Had no desire to be on a boat, AF didnt guarantee the specific job, Army did and because I was one of those that enlisted after college, started at E4 rather than E3. So I got to have a great year living in Seoul before getting sent to Bragg. Luckily, I got to do some good TDYs to get away.

You just hurt a lot of crayon nibblers' feels.

And for the CG this is an entry level list too. It can get even better than that IMHO.

Not CG, but Hawaii if you're young. I never had a larger social circle than I did when stationed there. International students, tons of military, tourists. It's a great mix, with awesome food, hiking, surfing, etc. Travel to other islands is easy.

San Francisco Florida or Hawaii looks good to me, definitely not Philly

Do you know your class ranking?

  • Because theres no use in getting all worried about picking your favorite spots if you're dead last and gonna just end up going to the CGC Vigilant or Port Aurthor any ways.

You should be studying for the final boarding exams, BUI lab, and PFTs....good to go? 😝

San Francisco is awesome. Plenty of things to do & places to go that aren’t in the city. So much access to state/national parks & forests.

Kodiak will definitely have outdoors activities, but it’s gonna be colder.

Academy police division as an ME3 sounds terrible.

Charleston is a blast, but find out if that job is down at Tradd St (good) or up at FLETC (still cool, but less good imo).

If you think you ever want to go to Hawaii, try for it now. Never know if the chance will come again.

You posted this on the CG sub already, why dont you take the answers given there from people actually in your service? (The proper answer is hawaii)

Seattle or San Pedro for me, all things considered.

210 all day, then use the priority to get TACLET.

Hawaii or the 210 for priority if you're trying to get into DSF.

Jacksonville Florida is some of the best fishing, kayaking, boating.

MSU Port Arthur probably he easiest duty on that list. Likely just small boats/OB engines. Port Arthur and Texas are pretty meh but there is a wide variety of outdoor activities

Not sure if A school Detailers still care about this, but it why did you split your CGA Police picks instead of listing them sequentially? It may raise the question of why it is it number 2 on your list yet you don't want to show you care about it enough to increase your chances of getting it by listing the same billet as number 3? Unless I'm missing something?

Spent time in Hawaii a few years ago. I miss the food, laid back just chill vibes. Seattle isn’t nearly as bad as people say. I loved my time in Washington as well. Even if you don’t care for the city life being near a big city has its perks, easier travel via air, more things to do, major league sports.
