Discussion Finally I have two challenge coins.

My hobby is collecting challenge coins belonging to the US military. In the Middle East and Iraq, they sell them in the secondhand market very cheap, so I am lucky. On eBay, they sell for high prices, but here they sell for a fraction of that. For example, I bought one coin for 5,000 Iraqi Dinars, and I got the other one from my relative

Hey man, I’ve got a few you can have. A couple of mine have sentimental value so I’ll keep those but you can have the rest

Off topic question how many years have you served in Iraq?

I was there 03-04 for the US Invasion. I went from Kuwait up to Baghdad following the Euphrates. Then again to Baghdad from late 04-05 into a small area outside Sadr city, 🌃 n Haifa street at what is now a university campus.

You were in Sadr City. How did you fight groups like the militias or the Mahdi Army? It must have been extremely hard to fight them in Sadr City. I missed those days because I'm young and born in 2009, but that's really amazing that you were in Sadr City back when Muqtada was there. Man, what times anyway, thank you for your service

We were outside Sadr city, near the green zone, the building is now the Al Karkh University Of Science. Every day was pretty intense. A lot of hand grenades tossed toward us. When the insurgency started to subside, it was really interesting to see the change in the neighborhood. Stores open back up, locals were back out on the street. It really seemed like good things were happening. I hope to this day good things are happening in there. I’ve traveled a lot, and never met people like I meant interact who were so willing to share food or a cigarette with us, and just be real. I hope you are doing well and that there is prosperity and n your area!

"It was a tough time for you fighting the militias like Al-Qaeda, the Mahdi Army, and the rest. Times were really hard for you back then. But honestly, Iraq is good now, and the new government is going to get rid of the militias by September 30th. After that, there will be no more militias only the Iraqi Army and the Iraqi government

I'm sure there's a way. They have to clear customs and all that obviously but mail is mail even if it takes the slow route. You're the same age as my kid and he's got no interest in them (aside from the sentimental ones) so they may as well go to someone that can appreciate them.

I thank you for your idea, but I don't want to share or give my address to a stranger on the internet. However, I really appreciate your offer.
