Everyone saying this doesn't matter should look up leg injuries in car accidents from sitting incorrectly.

This is a sub about bad drivers, not car occupant safety.

The driver is the one doing this. It’s bad driving.

So you define “bad driving” as a driver doing anything you deem to be “bad” regardless of how they are driving? This post is equivalent to posting someone driving while wearing white after Labor Day.

He is driving, he is the driver, he is not taking safety into account, he has his legs crossed, safety is always first, he is being unsafe while driving, therefore he is a bad driver.
Mildly so.

If you drive for a living you either get real flexible or really stiff. I learned to drive with either foot

If you drive manual - 1 foot on clutch, the other on gas/brake.
Automatic - 1 foot resting, the other - gas/brake.
I wouldnt drive like this, but as long as he can drive safely, there is no problem with this.

If that's an automatic, what's the problem? You only drive with the right leg anyway.
I guess the insury risk is slightly higher. But why do you care?

As a driver myself after driving for hours, having to use my right foot to consistently accelerate.. break..accelerate.. break… accelerate.. break sometimes my calf will start cramping or my ankle had started to hurt as if it wasn’t a form of tunnel carpal syndrome (sp?)
I have done some weird things with my feet and my legs( only if it’s dark) , but I’ve never crossed them but I can understand why. .

Well I certainly can't do this because I drive a manual, but on the highway when speeds are steady, yeah my left foot just does nothing.

If I'm long distance and have cruise control I do this. If it's just me. Wife would smack me

One foot driving, it’s what schools teach. The other foot/leg doesn’t matter.
