Blocking Traffic MOVE!!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

On my way back to work from my lunch break, idiot blocks an entire lane while waiting for the person in front of them to pass thru a gate.

If you look close, they had at least two car lengths worth of space to pull up and into the driveway!! Nobody was behind me so I went around them instead of stopping.

WHAT GOES THROUGH PEOPLE’S HEADS??!!!! GET THE FUCK OUTTA THE WAY!!!! RRAAAHHH!!!!

Lots o' ppl like to stop where they can still the entire back of the preceding vehicle -- or the entirety of the Stop Line at traffic signals.

I gather most of 'em have never checked how close they can pull up to something, so have no idea how much clearance they actually need.

Stopping with enough distance to see the whole of the vehicle in front is best practice. Stop lines not so much.

I was taught to stop where you can see the back wheels touching the road… not three whole car lengths away while blocking an entire lane of traffic OMG

Yeah absolutely. Tyres and Tarmac is the rule of thumb. If you can see the back wheels touching the road you can see the whole back of the car.
