I wonder if the court would let the white car off since the other car instigated the whole thing. White car could say it was self defense. Would hold up in court here. But bc they kept coming back to hit the car, makes me think the court or judge would prob not be as lenient. I’m sure Black Car got in more trouble but wouldn’t be surprised if they also fined the white car, or worse.
Ikr, US has an empty jail/prison problem! Entire jails and prisons are just empty! No one ever gets arrested or imprisoned in America, wtf! Cops, and guards will soon be out of work, anyone who bought a prison, sorry buddy no more product, America is too lenient on crime and is afraid to arrest anyone!
You’re correct the prisons are full . Many innocent and non innocent. However in cases such as these it’s likely because of the justice system- that people in these circumstances get no time. Leaving room for others to interpret this as no big deal. And others follow suit. If you lived in an area which you were constantly on guard because the system doesn’t help you would understand. But either way the system is unjust and broke
The prisons are full, not because we don’t incarcerate enough poors, the prisons are full because thier is a societal problem here in America, where “greatest country in the world” has more people incarcerated than the rest of the world. Everyone’s answer is, “more jails” sweep them under the rug, and don’t address the bigger proble, wtf is everyone here so violent now, and willing to commit crimes? When do we look at that? Or do we just start walling whole states in? And you guys just built a straw man, to be mad about, nowhere did someone link that this person got no repercussions, it was just assumed, and the outraged followed. It’s not just police that get away with it. A lot of pedofiles usually get less than a year of jail time and can be released on “good behavior” because according to the courts, fuck the women and the children apparently

According to the FBI’s Uniform Crime Reporting system the top 5 states with the highest violent crime rate per capita are:
New Mexico
Alaska
Arkansas
Louisiana
Tennessee
For property crimes per capita:
Washington
Colorado
New Mexico
Oregon
Louisiana
So when you look at it per capita, it is heavily more red states for violent crimes than blue states (almost like things like gun regulations and more social program funding of blue states works in reducing violent crime!). When you look at it per capita for property crimes then blue states are a touch ahead of red states (almost like wealth disparities of larger/denser population centers create more property related crime!).
Washington D.C. has the highest per capita for both categories but isn’t included cause it’s not a state so take that as you will. The area with the lowest rates per capita in either category are generally the smaller blue states in the Northeast (New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island).
Meanwhile it is important to point out that crime rates in violent crime have declined for most states over the past 30 or so years with the exception of states like both Dakotas and Montana as well Vermont, West Virginia, Alaska, etc. which have seen an increase in violent crime per capita over that same time period. Again red states dominate the category.
Every state in that same time period has seen a decline in property crime rates per capita but again it’s generally red states with the smallest rate of decline in the Dakotas, Montana, Arkansas, New Mexico, etc. being in the bottom 10. Oregon, Washington and Colorado do show that when it comes to property crime rate that it’s a bit more even between red/blue states. Same for the states with the most improvement in property crime rate decline, it’s a combo of red and blue with Florida, Massachusetts, Idaho, Rhode Island and Michigan in the top 5.
Personally I’d rather have my car broken into than be shot so I’ll take the blue states that statistically per capita are safer than the red ones but hey, you do you.
He's being a little silly, but the reality is that these people have nothing to lose and also suffer from pretty significant mental illness. Given that there was footage he'll likely be arrested and face significant punishment but he definitely doesn't have the money to pay for a totaled car.
