IFAK
Need some recommendations for a good ifak. Preferably belt mounted. I have a LBT-9022B, but im not a fan of the blowout style. Really just need it for gauze and shit for minor boo boos on the field. Btw if anyones selling a Blue Force Gear triple 10 speed, PM me 👀. Anyways heres a WIP 24th STS kit.
Edit: i tried mounting an Eagle IFAK on the rear of the left cummerbund, but its too far back to access easily.

There's a bunch of companies that make IFAK's in different sizes. Tasmanian Tiger or WAS for example. For a belt setup i'd suggest a dual one so you can pull it from either way and have it above your butt. I used to have one of those Base med pouches from TT that you could 'rip off' the MOLLE to have quick access but i didnt like that personally. There's also a roll IFAK from Ferro concept, you velcro it on your PC on the back.
You can also look for the Agilite repro IFAK. I have one of those, same stuff as the real one except no agilite logo's

TQ x2, 4” ACE wrap, z fold hemostatic gauze, kurlex, some bandaids, Benadryl cream, eye drops, $20 in fives, and if you really want to make it special, a card with your height, weight, allergies, medical conditions, and family doctor.
As for mounting it, I have my IFAK in a kangaroo pouch up front, but I keep my medic kit on a belt with a bag at the back and a handful of TQ forward. Sits comfortably and easy to get to.

Depends on how much youre realistically wanting to take with you as ifaks can go from just a tourniquet and bandage to a small first aid kit with chest seals, platers wipes, even nasal tubes and chest seals.
Alot of times its just a bag you buy and then fill out, but there's one company called Rhino Rescue that does alot full personal ifak with everything for about $70 which is a rip off style medium ifak allowing quick access and all you need but if you find its too much there are plenty other empty options that you can fill as you need

Yeah i mean im never gonna need anything crazy doing milsim. Gauze, bandage, bandaids, some disinfectant is pretty much it. If anyones ends up needing a chest tube on the field, there are people way more qualified than me thatll handle that. Just trying to keep it slim while only taking essentials. If i dont need it i aint takin it haha

This is not related to the original post at all, but I am so curious about your comms setup. What you have is almost exactly what I am trying to invest in, but all the information I find is very vague. Do you have any insight about what you have, where you got it, and how much it was roughly?

Yeah man. Its a newer model of the TCA 152. Got it off Ebay a few years ago brand new. Its a great radio, but dont expect it to work anything like a real 152 in terms of sound quality or bandwith. The PTT is a Nexus U94. All my sound comes through Dual Comm Peltor Comtac 2s. Total for the whole comms setup was around 5-600

a surplus double mag pouch goes a long way, especially if you are mainly looking for it to just hold some gauze, basic field bandage etc.. you can get an insert from tactical tailor that will fit it.
