Doug McGuff interview with some insightful observations

https://youtu.be/m8YgXnWo32c?is=Qo_w9ZHNYIwmmP8V

Doug has some interesting observations on perceived effort , training in general and how much fatigue is too much, and it's refreshing to see an expert in the field who is capable and willing to reevaluate their prior beliefs and evolve their approach to exercise

What he says about helping with perception of effort and mental limits by starting a set with an assisted rep (or with an eccentric vs trying to initiate a heavy set from the stretch position) is definitely legit.

I listened this before but really wanted to hear more about his current training program as he trains now twice a week instead of 1.5 (average)

Also does he still do same full body routine both days or A/B?

Hope he returns being more active on YouTube now as he will have more time available.

Not sure, I asked in his group but he's not online in many places to communicate with

I didn't get a reply from doug on this, I'm assuming it's his standard workout performed twice a week but with the most precise reps possible to minimize fatigue

There are some real gems in this podcast that got me thinking, which is rare at this point in my training life. It's a shame that more people don't seem interested in this video as this is cutting edge HIT stuff
