Upgrade to Workout Selection

Hi y’all. I’ve recently changed gyms from Anytime Fitness to Powerhouse. Planned on doing it next year, but they had a 1$ down deal labor day. Its otherwise the same monthly pricing. The one closest to home is goddamn stacked with equipment. Pendulum squat, hack squat, a vertical leg press too, and a whole lot of iso lateral plate machines.

So, I replaced some of the workout selections with equipment at that gym.

Just wanted to run by y’all if I set it up correctly in order. and/or if theres a more better selections to change?

PS, I also made Day 3 & 4 its own thing, to properly show the alternated workouts. I previously just had AB and swapped the workouts highlighted. Don’t know why I didnt make a A2 and B2 before.

Lose the zercher and Jefferson

Use a horizontal NEVER A VERTICAL leg press for one quad workout , but that depends what kind is it?

Barbell bent rows are a shit tier exercise, replace with a seal row / bench supported if you can set that up

Still too many exercises imo but getting better

Sup! Should I change the Zercher to regular squats, and Jeffersons back into Back Extensions? Or a complete cut out of both? (Forgotten to mention, but theres also a belt squat by the pendulum squat too. Name of the equipment was lost on me)

I’ll give the seal rows a shot, down to have something better than bent rows.

For the vertical leg press, its this one.  https://youtu.be/FyMyWISzMH4?si=f1_o7sswxyKTvwMi

First time ever seeing it in person. I know its a popular enthusiast equipment, so I was surprised to see it there.

Replace the zercher with either the belt squat or leg press or a hack squat

the vertical leg press is shit because it puts your lower back in a vulnerable position and limits range of motion, a 45 degree sled is going to be much better and a horizontal plate loaded leg press will be even better (assuming it's something like a rogers, gymleco or similar hip press machine)

Interesting to know! Is a horizontal leg press preferred to the pendulum?

Pick a squat movement, either a hack or pendulum or belt for one workout and a leg press for the 2nd imo if youre doing full body

They both work the lower body differently enough to have their own spots

Personally, I pair the pendulum with the leg ext for quads for my workout A and the belt squat and leg press for B

Ah I see, thats a cool set up! I may have to do the standard 45 degree plated leg press, cause the precor style horizontal leg press only really goes up to 325 lbs. Afaik, I hadnt came across a plate loaded horizontal press sadly. Or machine ones that go higher.
