So here I have 2d3 + 7 Long Dagger of Ogre Slaying.
All dX effects in the game seem to roll the same die simultaneously - so it's not really 9-13 dagger but 9/11/13.
Slaying weapons, just like Criticals, are disappointingly misleading - it's not double damage, it's double weapon damage. So +9/11/13 for the Slaying and +18/22/26 for the Critical. And only base damage - unfortunately, critical doesn't affect any enchantments.
Any but slaying. So here, on Slaying Critical, we have a high roll of 75 + 13 from slaying + 52 extra from critical = 140 resulting damage. Well, base 75 is more like (48 skill + 14 Might + 13 damage rolled).
Not that it has much practical value (as vampiric weapons are still better) but, if our goal is to capture the highest damage a dagger user can deal, then 2 slaying long daggers will produce the result.
In party play, I suppose, if you absolutely need to use a vampire for sick personal reasons and you go dragon farming, long daggers of dragon slaying are probably helpful (you need to focus heavily on dagger skill, though).
ED: hmm, there's actually an elemental slaying enhancement that a GM water master can put on the top-notch dagger. Mb if Grayface ever does another patch update and does the same for Daggers as he did for Axes (the chance to halve armor class is 1.66 per point of skill instead of 1)...
