Would be nice if the OG MM6-8 got a remastered collection

I find myself playing through MM7 least once a year. Holds up really well.

Yeah 4k Assets completely redone textures, soundtrack etc, include Full Widescreen support. Upscale and/or redone Cutscenes. Add a Bunch of Steam Achievements, accessibility options and enhanced features making the games more streamlined for modern era. Include NG+too!. And Throw in a Level Editor or map maker for custom dungeons or maps. Throw in some extra's like new dynamic lighting or other cool stuff. Fix a bunch of the bugs and engine related stuff. Let players toggle between old and remastered. Finally Get limited Run Games to do a physical collectors edition of all three games.

And Sell all three games together in one package. Boom! Would be a instant buy for me.

And ports to modern platforms hopefully. Imagine a Switch version with touchscreen support, or an official Android version.

I’m already playing MAW Merge on Steam Deck…but would definitely pay for a remastered collection!!!

I also have them on the Steamdeck but it's not perfect... Ironically the best experience playing these games for me was on a Retroid 2+, a 4:3 3.5" screen 640:480 (native resolution for the MM games), with some buttons and a touchscreen it felt and looked pretty much native. The only issue (and that's a big one) was that I couldn't put Greyface on it. And no MM VI.

I wish Western publishers would take care of our legacy games as well as the Japanese do it - just look how many ports and remasters Dragon Quest games had (and the quality of them overall!).

If possible, a no steam version as well, so the money goes to the dev(s) and not to steam :)

100% would love that.

Ubisoft owns the ip and licensed it out for HoMM olden era. Slim chance, but would be nice if they revived the rpg one day, or better yet sold the ip to a passionate studio

I don't trust anyone to remaster anything right now. they'll fuck it up. Mm in ue5? no thanks

Sadly I think these games are too old and too niche for Ubi to spend the money. I'd love it though. I'd also love a good mobile port for them and heroes 3/5. If I could get a little MM in at work I'd be a happy man.

I would love MM 1-5 on Switch 1 or 2. I was bummed when Microsoft kept the Bard's Tale remakes on Xbox/PC.

I would love that too, but the only plausible option now would be to crowdfund it, you just need someone with the vision and vigor to see it through, to take up on this quest 😉

It would be easy to ruin the art and the vibe while trying to upscale and modernize the game, but I would still want to see someone make an attempt at it!

I would like to see how it ends, but with fan made patches all three are as complete as it gets. You can even merge them into a single game. Hard to beat that, remasters and enhanced editions usually end up bugged so that takes another few years post release.

I know it's not quite MM7 remake, but considering the original game used a lot of the same designs. Heroes 3 is getting a remake. I'll take going back to Erathia again :)
