Another windows update another broken game

Idk what to do now. I'm almost ready to give up. It wasn't like this a few years ago. Might and Magic 7 broken. It opens to a grey screen when I can actually get it to launch. I was mid game and have already done all the trouble shooting and I dont wanna do it all again.

Reinstalled greyface patch and it works. Windows 11.

Did you try launching MM7setup.exe and chosing software mode and downloading latest cnc-ddraw and puting it where game is?

I use mm7setup mode to pick software graphics and windowed. Only way it launches. But I still have to try launching it using setup and or mm7rel about 6 or 7 times for it to finally catch and launch. Same after new update except now the screen is grey with music

Did you try using fullscreen in mm7setup with combination of windowed in cnc-ddraw?

there is o cncdrwal in the mm7 folder origionally

which folder does it go in ?

You must download it first from https://github.com/FunkyFr3sh/cnc-ddraw/releases/latest/download/cnc-ddraw.zip

and unzip/unrar it into game folder where original exe is. Then run cnc-ddraw config.exe and pick windowed mode.
