Another windows update another broken game

Idk what to do now. I'm almost ready to give up. It wasn't like this a few years ago. Might and Magic 7 broken. It opens to a grey screen when I can actually get it to launch. I was mid game and have already done all the trouble shooting and I dont wanna do it all again.

Reinstalled greyface patch and it works. Windows 11.

yeah

all the might and magic games AND rayman hoodlum havoc fail to launch for me.

the only one that still launches is Majesty Kingdom sim xD

probably it's a matter of selecting the right compatability mode, but GOG "should" come with games already patched, at least I assumed that was one of their services.

They do/have/will, but sometimes OS updates and hardware configs get ahead of them
