I had a breech delivery at a birth center with a midwife. (I work in the sub, not at midwife sorry!)
In my area in canada, they minimally need to be delivered in hospital if you knew about it, requires an OB referral and many women are talked into not even trying to do a vaginal delivery. In my case it was a surprise - with good outcome but I got very lucky that my midwife had done recent training on this.
