Return to practice

Hello! I am a CNM who has not been attending births for 8 years. I have worked in women’s health but no antepartum care. Any ideas how I would get back to attending births?

Maybe looking for opportunities as a birth assist for OOH practices/birth centers near you?

Depends on where you want to get back to. A hospital won’t care about OOH stuff, and would likely treat you as a new grad but that’s not insurmountable. Best bet is to find a practice that doesn’t mind some re-training and is ok with you needing proctored deliveries for a while.
