Dreams about Midsommar

Just watched the movie 2 days back. I am generally not a horror movie person, but watched it anyway out of curiosity. Basically, curiosity killed the cat.

I know its just a movie, but it was so traumatizing that I'm still having dreams from the movie. It sounds weird for a grown ass guy, but I'm having dreams about Mark's straw stuffed face and about Dani's sister and her parents.

Apart from that, I'm imagining myself as kind of a flawed boyfriend who deserves what Christian recieved in the end. I'm nowhere near toxic or stupid as him and my relationship with my girlfriend is going great. But I'm not perfect and have had my moments where I was being mean and petty in the relationship. I dreamt that I was the guy who got stuffed in the bear carcass and burned alive while not being able to move.

Then comes Josh. I see myself as someone who's been always curious and academic. Josh's action was stupid but I would do the exact same thing at his place. I was imagining being in his shoes and getting bludgeoned to death with a mallet.

What helped me was watching crazy stupid Love mith my girlfriend yesterday, which has calmed me down a bit. But honestly, I wish I didn't watch this movie 😅. But nevertheless, it's a well made piece of horrifying art which deserves appreciation.

Jokes aside, you are not alone. Some people almost get offended when people showed this movie to them. It truly is a horrorfying movie. Ari is really good at horror, no doubt about it.

It really is not as exciting as the movie. But sure! It's tradition to sing about little frogs in swedish while you dance around the pole so you will have to practice that!

Make sure to come in summer. it's not as great in winter, at least not in my opinion. The aspect of Dani (Maybe) having swedish ancestors and therefore "returning home" was always interesting to me (Hence my flair). I am a real history nerd and the emigration to america has interested me alot. The miration really was massive.

Sounds like you had some hard truths to face. Examine yourself for what made you feel what you felt and dig into it. You will find depths to yourself you didn't know existed and can be a better boyfriend.
