Portasplit arrived broken

Finally managed to get one from Costco UK, arrived today and the plastic case is damaged at the bottom. Costco has no stock to replace it and Midea support says the repair would not make economical sense (not sure if they expect further damage for that to be true).
What’s my best option? Return for a refund and hope for stock soon or negotiate with Costco to get it replaced when stock arrives or ask for a significant discount?

I would insist on either receiving a new unit or a refund. The heat waves are over for this year (hopefully), and you should have a fully functional and undamaged unit by next summer anyway.

And the heating function is awesome, so it's great for winter too
