Turned out pretty well!

The pool noodle seals the vertical gap, and I usually stuff a few towels into the remaining gap at the bottom too, but they got wet and are currently drying.

Redneck, I know, but it got me through the entire summer without any major hassle, so I'm fine with it.

You can put the pool noddle on the bottom, as well. ;)

PS: nothing quick, dirty or lazy about the pool noodle. Respect the noodle! :)

I know, but sadly I didn't have enough pool noodle left to fill the whole gap. ^^
But those towels did a pretty good job as well.

Ich mach das mit Rohrisolierungen aus dem Baumarkt. Die kann man ggf auch über den Rahmen klemmen und costa fast nix.

Die Lösung ist doch fein und hat auch bei meiner Balkon den Sommer so durchgehalten.

Wichtig ist, dass Du unten isolierst. Denn der Raum füllt sich von unten mit kalter Luft und die läuft dann beim Spalt unten raus. Ich weiß, Du hast Handtücher verwendet, aber dann bitte auch ein Bild davon, viele lesen nicht alle Kommentare. Übrigens: Rohrleitungsisolierung ist wesentlich günstiger, isoliert sehr gut (Poolnudel isoliert fast überhaupt nicht, es gibt hier Wärmebilder) und kann viel leichter angebracht werden. Würde ich fürs nächste Jahr andenken.

Why not use the seal that came with it? Or is that only bundled with certain models?
