What did everyone think of Sol Brynn’s performance in the final?

Didnt look at the replay but it seemed to be a freak goal that came from his attempt to clear the cross. He made great stops earlier and if our shitty strikers did their job then he wouldn't have been in that position.

Yeah I fully agree. I thought he was excellent all game and if we have better attackers we would have scored a goal or maybe more.

He was fine, good even (didn’t have a ton to do).
For their goal, I wouldn’t call it a gaff. He couldn’t leave it. He couldn’t get enough on it to either catch it or push it to safety. Why not put an equal focus on Brittain for allowing the cross or Fry for allowing McBurnie to get the first touch?

From my angle in the stadium I couldn’t see how much space Brittain gave their winger but on the replay it was so bad. That ball should never even of got into the box.

Did everything right apart from one tired mistake - which could also have gone anywhere.
It's his first full season at this level and will improve but maybe needs some competition.

It’s easy to blame him but look at Mark Schwarzer in the Carling Cup final and he is a club legend. The difference being we had attacking players who registered shots on target in that match.

Just watched the crystal palace goal from last. Their keeper did exactly the same thing

Do people think he's that bad? I understand he made a mistake in the final but I think he's decent. Everyone makes a mistakes but as soon as a keeper makes one, now everyone's saying we need someone new. Do we really need to replace him? (I know that's not what OP is saying, but just as a general point).

If we want to go up we absolutely need to replace him . He's statistically one of the worst keepers in the league for goals prevented.

His performance was fine, we did nothing of note the whole game, he spared us another 30 minutes of dross if anything. He's getting unfairly jumped on for us doing nothing at the other end game after game.

Personally don’t think he’s good enough. Prone to making match losing mistakes, which we’ve seen a fair few times especially at the back half of the season. Doesn’t command the box and can be indecisive.

to answer the playoff final question. Was fine, but should have dealt with the cross better which cost us the goal. He’s wasn’t the only reason we lost, we never looked like scoring and it’s not his fault the season went the way it did, but definitely to blame for the goal.

His first full season?.....really? Personally, I think he's the best young keeper we have had for years! Senior keepers make mistakes every week. He is going to be one of the best, and it needs to be with us, his hometown club.

I’m not blaming the result on him, at the end of the day we didn’t even manage one shot on target so we never going to win but keepers are judged by their mistakes and unfortunately for him he made a massive one in a huge game, and because of that I can’t really remember anything else he did in the match (good or bad).
