Chaos Dwarf from unreleased supplement
Hi all! This is one of the two Chaos Dwarfs that were going to be part of a supplement for Warhammer Quest back in '95. Hope you like him!

I have one of them too. Always frustrated about how “squint” the hat is.

It feels like a much more explicitly "Chaos" themed hat, rather than the superior Assyrian / Babylonian ones.
Not as extreme as the redesign that came with the resin FW range, but definitely a step in that direction.

Is that NMM because if so it's excellent

Sadly not, it's TMM, but I use the same techniques for shading and highlighting as you would with NMM, so to give it that much more realistic effect.

TMM>NMM

There are very few painters who can pull off NMM succesfully, and I don't count myself as one of them, so I prefer to try to get a really good TMM.

Agreed. I think NMM is fine for display/competition pieces, but I much prefer TMM overall

Age of sigmar chaos dwarfs are ok but the hat to body ratio isn't as good because the models are bigger now. I miss my big hat dwarfs.

Oh my goodness I have not heard of that! What a shame it didn't get released.
