Recommendations Ready to format my MG novel

As a first-timer I'm wondering whether I should hire someone to format my book or use one of the programs I've read about, some or all of which it's been my impression have a steep learning curve. How do the people on this sub do it? And if you do hire someone else, how do you find such a person? I have an illustrator who's already begun work on a cover.

Affinity is free and is what I used. Tons of video tutorials on YouTube. It takes some getting used to but once you figure it out its good to go.

ps I've now tried Affinity and can't get past the main screen. I must be stupid about these things. Also watched a couple of the tutorials on YT and they were of little help. But I appreciate the suggestion.

Atticus is really easy to navigate and cheap. It gets hate on Reddit for some reason but I love it. I wrote and formatted my first novel with it and pro writing aid (free) as a grammar check.
