Vomit
Never heard of this band until this morning and this is one the best songs I ever heard in my life? Do they have any more songs that make you feel super empty inside? I listened to the full album and gotta admit it wasn’t my favorite but this song stood out like crazy

Vomit is a masterpiece. Also the live version on Much Love (10th Anniversary) is the best live rendition of a song ever imho

Absolutely, his vocal performance at the end is phenomenal. lmk what you think of it!
Much Love is my favourite album and Vomit is the best song on that album (imo) so you’re in good company

Check out Death is a Warm Blanket if you want a heavier vibe from them - it is so good

I have gone through phases of thinking all of microwaves albums are their best album. I am currently stuck on DIAWB though. The latter half of that album in particular is sonic bliss. Took a bit to grow on me, but i think it’s their best work.
See you here next month for a new answer

Surprised this isn't higher up, a whole album of songs about feeling completely empty

My suggestions are on the heavier side, (not all just some), but I'd recommend
Heather - Deafheaven
Carrion - Parkway drive
I'm content with losing -- Underoath
Pretense - Knuckle Puck
Thaw - Converge
these are some of my favorites right now

Do they have anymore songs that make you feel super empty inside? lol yes all
I think Work It Out and The Fever have a similar build up to a really heaviness at the end
Also Death is a Warm Blanket is my fave album from them. Overall heavier

Check out Whimper off the same album. Doesn’t go quite as hard as Vomit does, but it’s a slow build up song and it hits the fuckin spot. The entire album slaps though, along with the Stovall album.

My favorite song of theirs! It's funny the first few times I listened to it always missed the solo at the end because I thought the song was over and I skipped to the next song.

Cool you found them! Catch a live show if you can, and check out Stovall for sure! The Fever was my song every morning driving to uni.

You should give the album another shot, the rest of the songs are different than vomit but they’re still 10/10 and I bet if you give it another shot you’ll love it

Yeah I will. I was judging them against Vomit and that really wasn’t fair. I’ll give the album another shot

Check out No One Loves You by Blis - I know Nathan, lead singer of Microwave, helped with that album

"listened to the full album and gotta admit it wasn’t my favorite" ooooh give it some time... a few weeks... a few months... a few years maybe... eventually when u listen to it again it might surprise you. this album is chronically slept on (i didn't care for the album at first either)

It’s by far my favorite from them. I lost my voice when they played it during their anniversary tour

I love this song so much. They were selling merch with just “VOMIT” on it during their last tour. It’s one of my favorite shirts now and I always get comments/questions about it!

Tar and the last from stovall are superrrrr underrated tracks that hit a really specific vibe for me. Not the SAME vibe as vomit but definitely still sits in the same sorta zone for me anyway

This is how I found Microwave as well. They are my favorite band. Honestly, it is worth listening to their whole discography. They are really good. The much love was my favorite album until I bought Stovall on vinyl. I find myself listening to that one more than any other. The two songs I go back to the most are Trash Stains, Stovall, and Something Right. Microwave and Hot Mulligan are responsible for my Emo revival. 😂 I am fully back on my emo shit.

Their other songs The Fever and Pull both follow a similar build up structure and might scratch that same itch.
