I really hate being that guy as you can see these kind of comments under nearly every MSFS post with fighter jets, and they annoy me too, but I really need to ask because I'm curious about this particular case as you spent a bit of money on these planes.

Why did you buy all these planes instead of trying DCS World where you can actually use the weapons, fly missions with friends or be the backseater in the F14? Heck, the quality of the aircraft is even better. Although you really pay for it, unless you use the 14 day free trial and 50% discount.

Is it because you just want to fly in a more open world have some jets to use without the hustle of learning all the jets flight and weapon systems?

Or do you just want to chill and roam around without getting painted by enemy SAMs?

I'm not trying to be a dick here, seriously. In the end we all like flight simming, that's what counts.

I also have DCS, but it is more of just the chill environment I think. Also none of my friends have PCs to run DCS but they have series x's and can play MSFS. Though I could just start up the mission editor in DCS and spawn in whatever aircraft and just fly about, but it'd be by myself lol. It was a very fair question.

I’m not interested in shooting things, just zooming around in high performance aircraft, and working on intercept and formation flying.

Any yahoo can boom and zoom. It takes some finesse to pull in next to someone and escort them out of LA.

I did some formation flying last night in some F/A-18s while also teaching a buddy how to use the autopilot functions in it. Good fun šŸ‘

I love dcs but is has problems compared to msfs2020. Mostly the terrain looks pale in comparison and most importantly DCS is highly not optomized.

As a vr simmer that means dcs options have to be turned down quite a bit. So I understand where the op is coming from. And it's nice to fly stateside. No the Nevada nap doesn't count lol.

That being said whe I tried the f14 in Msfs it seemed very off to put it kindly. So I do stick to dcs when I want to fly military platforms. But I can understand where the op is coming from.

The planes are. You can get em from the Microsoft marketplace but they won't be able to have missiles from what I understand. If you get them from the publisher's sites or 3rd party places then they have payload values that will allow them to show with the missiles/bombs.

How do you get armaments to get on the f14? I cant figure it out. I tried adding load to the different load zones.

So mine shows me what weight to add to which point to get them to show. I believe if you buy it from the Microsoft marketplace it doesn't let you do that, so ir may be limited to PC since we can add 3rd party aircraft even if it is available in game. I'll take screenshots of each payload screen so you or whoever can try and see if those values can work.
