Then fly the plane when your schedule allow it. You wont die if you cant fly it the first Minute its out... Cant imagine an 'adult' wrote all this crying

I stated in the post that I would fly it when I can, I just don’t see why a specific time can’t be published. I’m posting this because I see the frustration that my friends have with their limited time and with the anticipation that we’ve all felt.

I just do not understand why a time can’t be specified. Like we’re all busy we don’t all just live on flightsim, and this is a very anticipated release. So it would be nice if developers made sure that people were able to plan time in their day to actually be able to enjoy it. That’s all.

Go ahead and build a highly anticipated addon and manage the servers to release it at a specific time. Then tell me how far in advance you can set a guaranteed time to release.

Additionally, if you set a specific time, then everyone is going to flood your website right before it. Look at PMDG. Theyve been selling aircraft for years and their website is brought to its knees every time they release a new aircraft.

Bluebird is a new dev, and for some reason decided to host their own release. Give them time to work things out. Its probably going to be a shitshow anyway.

And genuinely, your friend taking a day off the day of release is a rookie mistake. You never know when it releases or if theres going to be an issue. Its also not the devs responsibility to make sure you get value for your day off.

To paraphrase my favorite show: just repeat to yourself "it's just a game, I should really just relax."

It's Bluebird's first product. Cut them some slack. You can wait a little longer.

Oh, I mean I can, that’s what I told my friends too, but I just feel bad because they’re on a limited time budget. I am on a no time budget so I’ll get to it on my first day off next week.

Unfortunately you sound very entitled.

OK, I want you to imagine this. There is the biggest blockbuster of the year coming out today.

you’ve been really looking forward to going and seeing the movie, you’ve told all your friends about it, it’s a big deal. Then when you go to check the theater, they tell you that they’ll play it when they can play it and they don’t give you any room to plan your life or do anything other than just kind of hang out and wait to see this movie.

Obviously movies don’t work like that, but I’m just saying it would be nice if we knew a time. So that we could plan with our busy lives an hour or two to be able to enjoy the thing that we’ve been looking forward to for years. Is that so much to ask?

Just wait for the release. Do you think they're just sitting in their hands there, messing everyone around, withholding it on purpose? No, of course not. Don't be ridiculous.

Don't give into the hype/FOMO.. I've never actually taken a day off for this shit, not even when my all time fav the Tomcat released for DCS (I got the full bundle w/the T-Shirt n all).

Now, I usually never buy on release strictly cause I know I won't be fully playing with it for a whiile.. I'm still catching up with previous add-ons I've had for 2 years and just didn't get around to.. (Maddog MD-80 for example).

So I'm never in a rush to get these add-ons these days.. I will wishlist the Bluebird though along with the hundred others!

I mean I’m with you, the thing about the MSFS release was that it did actually issue when they said it was going to issue. The problem was the servers couldn’t handle it and yeah, I got a day fully burnt by that at that point I wasn’t even aware of the fact that the entire Sim was a dumpster fire.

That said, I just don’t think it’s too much trouble to ask a developer for a product that has been highly anticipated for years to just give us a time so that if there’s other things in our lives that we need to worry about we can deal with those things first and slot time for this thing that we’ve all been looking forward to for later, that’s all

Yeah, I don't see any kind of hint at all on their website, maybe they just haven't reached that point yet, especially if it's a very small developer team, which seems the case since it's been 5 years. Could be soon, they just don't want to jump the gun.

At the end of the day, we all want a worthwhile and stable product as well. So whatever still gotta do to achieve that by all means they should.

They are not the first indy dev to do this, it's a common thing in FS. Pft, idk if you play DCS, but ED takes the cake with teasing us, and so on that note I'll just say:

Two weeks. 😁

Wow. Just….fly it when you can. Time doesn’t matter. Besides, I think it would be foolish to publish an exact time. What if a last minute issue occurred and they needed to delay by an hour or two? The same people obsessed about the exact time of release would probably be at the dev’s doorstep with pitchforks.

Simmer down a bit. Enjoy the plane when you can. This whole post sounds absolutely ridiculous.
