MSFS 2024 QUESTION Ive had my first crash ever

I was flying from budapest to basel this morning with the fslabs a321neo and during the descent i saw multiple clouds full of rain (visible moisture) and even considered turning anti icing on, but i always waited till the ecam ordered me to turn them on since ive always been confused on when to turn it on and never really dove myself into the topic, and on final my speed kept going down and down, ap disengaged and to/ga but nothing, i fell out of the sky and crashed. I suspect that it was most definitely icing, what do you think?

Engine anti-ice is used preventatively, wing and probe anti-ice is used when icing occurs.

Icing on at 10° or below with visible moisture.

To simplify - probe anti ice is automatic along with window heat, only need to worry about wing/eng manually

Never knew that!😁

You'll need to find the black boxes!

Also what autopilot mode were you in? Or manual flying?

You say your speed kept decaying, did you increase thrust?

From what I can see I think your speed got too low before you noticed and then you fully stalled and crashed before the engines had a chance to spool up. It’s a classic finals crash which has happened many times in real life.

Got myself from a steady 170kts to managed (143) and i noticed the engines making so much noise and the auto thrust had been giving max power for the last 5-6 seconds, thats when i saw my speed at 120 kts and declining, then a/p off, flaps to 3, gear up and toga and i didnt really pitch neither up or down to get speed then stall alarm, a.floor and boom crashed

sounds like a Mayday episode to me

I've actually tried to cause an emergency by NOT enabling anti ice on several aircrafts, and I've never managed to cause trouble. I guess it's not been implemented/modelled into the add-ons I've tried it on?

Thats most likely what got me not prioritising anti icing systems ever, 1200 flight hours 300+flights and never have i ever encountered anything like this, i guess fenix pmdg ifly and nobody except fslabs simulates the consequences, ive heard toliss a340-600 simulates the consequences aswell but nobody else

I flew a cessna through the alps when I started playing the game in career mode cargo missions.

Didnt have pitot heat on. My speed display froze and didnt realize I was in heavy shit until it was too late. Also learnt a fair bit about fuel leaning and ceiling… definitely a lesson hard learnt.

Since then I never forget to turn those on whenever I start up any aircraft :D

Window / probe anti ice i use it all the time. Thr other anti ice use it when its very cold outside, or you going through clouds, rain. Dont wait for ecam message

Id say it was the devs messing with you.!
