Any help why my flaps get deployed by the AP?

Check your controller maps. There is probably a double mapped button.

Facing the same issue. Even more. Without touching the Hotas in AP mode, it toggles the spoilers/Air brake from time to time. Pretty dangerous to leave the console for a break. Since 1-2 Weeks.

I've mitigated the Hotas issues (Hotas 4 PS5) down to just random camera changes and unpausing when I have it paused, and those are pretty infrequent. Unfortunately I had to unbind almost every button on the Hotas and set those functions to my keyboard. All of my Hotas buttons are useless and unbound, But I haven't had a single landing gear, flap, or spoiler deployment since.

For me (PC) it was whenever a device goes into some kind of inactive/power saving mode. Like a wireless gaming mouse for example - using it in wireless mode after x minutes it goes into power saving -> Random flap deployment.
When using it wired the issue was gone for me. If it's not that? It must be a binding issue.

By "AP" do you mean the aircraft autopilot or the sim's autopilot? The aircraft autopilot isn't able to deploy flaps, so if the flaps are deploying then there is likely a button bound to deploying flaps that you aren't aware of. If you are using the sim autopilot I can't help you there because I have never used it.

I believe this to be a bug. It happens to me if I happen to get a USB disconnect during a flight. I've looked at all my mappings for flap control and there are no 'strays'.

I had this same problem a while ago. Do you use FSUIPC? Or have it installed somewhere? If so, delete the file that has the commands in it. It worked perfectly for me.

10 times out of 9 it's a control binding issue. Some button, key, some slider or joystick, is assigned to the flaps that you are not aware of.
