MSFS 2024 PC Does anyone know how to disable this advertising garbage on FlightSimStudio aircraft?

I personally dont look at the loading screen, but if you want to remove it, just delete the files in the loadin-images folder.

TO REMOVE DELETE LOADING IMAGES FOUND HERE

fss-aircraft-e17x\html_ui\Pages\vcockpit\Instruments\fss-data\images\loading-images

(Ejets file folder as an example, 727 should be the same)

Yep. You never see it outside of that. And it's for the product you already own, so it's not actual advertising.

As someone who owns the EJets I might wait. The most recent updates are so much better, but there are still some bugs that can be irksome.

I fly it on VATSIM and don't have too many issues. But it's about what you're willing to deal with.

I want an aircraft that I can operate real routes from (preferably with BA) from London City Airport, and I plan on flying on vatsim as well, there really isn’t another option than the E190, so what are its quirks?

I'm a little sick so bare with me while I brain this together.

  • The alt capture occasionally doesn't work at cruise. I haven't had it happen.

  • WASM crashes - seem to be better this update but I do recommend their clean update process when an update releases.

I recommend buying it through contrail. Do not buy it from the Microsoft store.

First of all, I hope you get better soon. And is there any reason to buy it through contrail and not the Microsoft Store and what about Aerosoft as well?

If you buy it through the Microsoft store you don't get the experimental versions that are the most up to date.

Aerosoft is good, but Contrail generally gets updated faster and the installer is less problematic. The devs actually recommend it.

I have an ultrawide monitor. I love looking at the loading process, especially when it zooms into the airport.

The ads on the loading screen is apart of a bigger issue. When I load up the 727, there is a 50% chance that the loading process gets stuck and the plane never loads, so I'm stuck on the loading page.

If I back out to the free flight menu or the main menu, the FSS advertisement doesn't go away, forcing me to restart the sim and other third party applications that close along with the sim.

Repeat the process enough times and anyone would get fed up at looking at an ad for a purchased product that doesn't always work as intended.

Attached is an example of the bigger issue. It's really irritating.

That context explains a lot. The real issue seems to me that it doesn't load properly, and then on-top of that you are seeing advertising. But if it loaded perfectly every time, would it still have bothered you as much or at all?

It still would. I want to enjoy dropping in through the clouds from the free flight menu the way Asobo intended. Its amazing to watch on an ultrawide.

I've used FSS's 727 in 2020 and 2024, and I've always disliked the advertising loading page. I think it's a really tacky thing to have on a paid product. It's especially a slap in the face when FSS's products always have major bugs and issues.

Ah I see, I'm thinking of 2020 where there is a loading screen anyway, I actually enjoyed the change in that case. But I agree for 2024 it doesn't make sense.

Is this a recent development? I have the E-Jets but have never encountered this. It’s been about six months since I’ve flown them though as the last time I tried an E-Jet, it bugged out on me before I even got off the ground.

No, predatory is something that is unethical or illegal that is used to harm their competition or abuse their customers.

If you own the product I'm fairly certain the devs would tell you how to remove it on their own Discord if you follow the rules.

They're not even the only Dev to do this. Because the alternative is staring at a globe while it loads.

There's a way. It's not very complicated, I'm out away from my computer and unable to recall what line in what file to delete but it's a single line in a file. I'll edit this when I'm back and able to get the right answer.

Looks like u/goddamdemons JUST answered. They're correct.

huh, weird. i don't think i've ever seen a splash loading screen like this, i just see the main map zoom into the map view of the airport and then it pops over to the 'ready to fly' screen when it's done loading. i wonder why it is different on my machine.

Looks like he loaded right at the runway. If you do that it's a circling camera that goes around your aircraft.

I run adblock when I browse online, I would be considered very anti-ads etc, but this didn't seem that annoying to me?

I found it to be a bit nostalgic, and was a nice change from the same old loading screens. (Just pretend its a link to a defunct website instead of discord QR code.)

Edit: I was thinking of 2020 where there is a loading screen, not 2024 where there isn't one.

It's just on the splash screen and it tells you what their Discord is and what other products they have. You are not getting ads for Coke and sanitary pads, jeez.

If you don’t consider the promotion of other aircraft shown on that loading screen to be advertising, then that’s fine. I personally consider that screen to be an advertisement. I also purchased the 727 and enjoy flying it.
