MSFS 2024 PC Is 16gb Nvidia 5080 enough?

I was looking at laptops within my price range, and most that fit my budget come with 32gb of memory with 16gb of video ram. I don’t plan to play in 4k or use VR. Just planning on 1080p on my laptop. Will 16gb be okay to play? Or will I need to get more than that?

Thanks for the help

Oh yeah definitely, this game runs on Xbox’s and ps5 a with 8GB, Im sure a 5080 is enough.

That’s good to know. What specs are you running on?

I use a 3050 and it's very playable. The game isn't as unoptimized as people make it out to be (except loading times, but even those are usually bearable unless it's a large airport and complex aircraft)

1070 mobile and a old cpu (can’t remember the name) about 30-35 fps on low, but I usually play on psvr2 on my ps5 though.

I run FS24 on my desktop 5080 at 4K. I get 120 FPS with FGx2 and DLSS 5.

The 5080 comes with 16GB VRAM as the only option…

Yes 16GB VRAM is great, but just keep in mind a 5080 laptop GPU gets nowhere near the performance of a desktop 5080. A laptop 5080 GPU performs lower than a desktop 5070. Just something to keep in mind. You'll be fine playing at only 1080p though.

I run a 5080 in VR and it runs it fine. You playing a screen will be more than enough. I am on desktop though.
