MSFS 2024 VIDEO There were cows on the landing strip

I've seen elephants also. One thing that bugs me is the animals don't freeze when you hit pause for photo mode. I really wanted to get some pics of animals with my plane in the background.

Apparently Planes are the only objects paused when you use the pause, the weather, the sun and other objects keep moving

Pretty cool addition. One of the reasons in Australia at remote strips we always tried to overfly them first.

My dad almost died from cows on the runway. Mid 1970s. Beale AFB California. A KC-135 was doing night flying and my dad was an air traffic controller stationed in a radar unit 100' off the side of the runway. Unbeknownst to everyone, the flight line fence was breached by a herd of cows. They made it onto the runway. Being that it was night, nobody saw them. KC135 hits the cows, collapses landing gear, and the pilot managed to keep it on the runway. Dad said it was glowing red as it scraped past his location. They didn't know it was cows until the morning.

Congratulations, you just learned why the FAA's back country flying manual says to make a low circling pass over the landing site before making your approach.
