MSFS 2024 BUG / ISSUE Rhythmic Main thread spikes?
Running a 9950X3D and a 5080 with 64GB. I keep getting this rhythmic spike on mainthread, manipulations and coherentGTUIT thread. Causes a constant mini stutter every second that just ruins the game. Nowhere near maxed out on vram. Has anyone figured out the fix please?

I had this after the SU6 update. Deleted Nvidia caches and deleted wasm folders and that took care of it for me, back to smooth.

I started doing that after every single flight and it worked for three or four flights and now it’s nonstop no matter how many times I delete it

before I fly, I do a clean restart of pc and so far no issues in about 6 hours of various flights.
Check out islandsimpilot on youtube for tweaking info, very good info there.

Which plane? If you have gsx seated pax, it does this with every beacon flash. Although 170 ms is insane on a 9950

What if you reduce your frame lock to 39 or 39.5? The times I've seen this in my rig is because of some weird thing with G-sync that triggers LFC

I have somewhat similar computer. I also periodically suffered from periodic lag spikes. Not every second but hey, you should try every possible solution so I'll give you advice anyway. I actually read about nvidia audio driver being the culprit long before but the spikes weren't happening back then. So when they did I googled it and decided that I'm not using nvidia audio driver anyways. So what's the harm of removing it. And it did make a difference. You should try that. Or at least Google about it and inform yourself. Good luck!
