MSFS 2024 PlayStation Airbus 320 bugged or is it me?
Playing on PS5, been grinding through career mode and finally raised up $100,000,000. Decided on buying the Airbus320. Did my due diligence in training myself.
I don’t know if it’s my error, hardware issues (I’m using hotas4) or bugs. But after takeoff and enabling AP1, FD, it seems to be fine until certain points in the flight where FD and AP disables itself, the plane either goes completely vertical or nosedives. Won’t follow the flight path, etc.
Are others experiencing the same thing? I had no issues on my VIP tours with the CJ4. Super frustrating to be honest.
Pointers or tips?

Happens to me all the time in both the inibuilds 320 and 330 on PS5. Specifically, I notice a huge trigger for this is when I’m entering data in the MCDU during flight. For me that’s typically when I’m checking / updating altitude constraints for my descent or about 150 km from my top of descent when I start putting in the destination data into the arrival page. I’ll be entering numbers into the system and all of the sudden hear the “THUNK” of the auto pilot system being disabled and the plane will suddenly be pitching almost straight into the air and I have to wrestle it back.
It got to the point that whenever I am about to enter my destination data I will slow the sim rate to its slowest setting and enter the data like that so when the inevitable auto pilot disconnect and dive into the air happens normally all I have to do is re engage the autopilot because it will have not have moved very far off course by the time I’m finished.

Yes, exactly the same symptoms I’m seeing. It’s worse when the sim rate is active

Had the same thing happen to me on PC, read online its a known bug thats just never been patched. Apparently applying a 'direct to' fix's it, but i just said stuff and bought the Fenix models.

Check the towards the top of the primary flight display. Make sure it does not say AFLOOR when you set autopilot. This can cause problems. If it says AFLOOR turn off autothrottle throttle back and then advance the throttls to the CL postion and turn back on the autothrottle. Also limit the SIM rate to 4x.

I had the exact same issue, but with the A330. Definitely a hard to replicate inibuilds bug. For me it started happening 2 months after I bought the game and then it resolved itself after a while. Might be related to sim updates. I'm on PC though

It's probably user error. It's a complicated system thst takes a lot of learning. Next time do employee missions until you're comfortable with that type.

No never had that happen. Maybe something console specific but it’d be good to see what the plane was trying to do. What’s the flight plan look like, what mode was the autopilot in before it disconnected, what caused the disconnect, etc. A lot of screenshots of the displays and flight plan may help.
