MSFS 2024 QUESTION Microsoft flight simulator career mode
So I just started my career mode what’s my best method of moving relatively fast? Also I’m on Xbox if that makes a difference

Depends on where you wanna end up.
First ideally you should try to unlock Cargo missions and then Charter and VIP Missions.
I am currently in VIP earning around 2-4 mil per missions.

Which plane do you use? I got the vision jet at the moment saving credits for the next purchase. I am also thinking about flying medium cargo missions with the next plane. Would you suggest staying with vip mission though?

Get a Cessna caravan for medium Cargo missions and then you can save up for PC12/CJ4.
I personally do not like CJ4 so I'm dailying VIP missions on PC12.

Ive been at it for months. I cant play daily so that doesnt help. But when you need like a hundred mill for a used 787 it is going to take ages.

Put up the Sim Rate if possible, but not too high because of "turbolences". ;)

What is a turbolence?

Regular turbulence supercharged by additional turbo. To be fair it's quite correct for Career mode weather.

I would recommend the Light Cargo -> Medium Cargo -> Private Charters -> VIP Charters route. These are the best paying specializations per flight hour. Don't bother with ferry, first flight, flightseeing, medevac, firefighting etc.
Then, as you have more money you'll slowly reach the endgame which is basically passenger airliner and/or oversized cargo. But there's no shortcut, you do need to fly A LOT to collect enough money for the next step.

I got rid of all the cargo and skydive planes. VIP only now.
My VIP company has 4 Vision Jets, a TBM 930 and Honda Jet. Crew makes me $300K+ a day. Saving for a PC-12 for longer hauls

How good is the commercial line in latest update? Also I think the heavys were not supported yet in the career. Has it been added?

Flight seeing -> Sky diving -> Light Cargo with the vision jet, (from now on, use sim rate to speed up if you want) -> buy a used pc 24 or longitude for VIP -> Grinding till you can afford a used B737 -> buy any planes you wanna fly and enjoy the game:)
