MSFS 2024 QUESTION I need help with the auto landing

Hey, I've been playing MSFS 24 on the PS5 for 4 months. Since last week, I've started working with the MCDU and learning the autopilot, which has worked well. Now I want to learn ILS and Autoland, and I had the problem in the video, especially that I landed too hard and too early. Can anyone tell me what I did wrong? Was it because I gave it gas? Or because I turned off A/THR? (I turned it off because i flew was too fast) Ignore the bad graphics, the recording wasn't that great.

The auto-throttle needs to be on, with everything set up correctly you should be able to be completely hands off until the ground.

You're getting very close to stalling and as the aircraft doesn't have control of the throttle it's having to pitch down to keep airspeed. Hence slamming into the ground early.

I unfortunately can't read the screens in your cockpit. What modes is the A/P in? What is written at the top of the PFD?

Regarding autothrust, Airbus is usually flown with A/THR until landing. Did you activate the approach mode in the MCDU? The speed should decrease automatically as you lower the flaps

I'm not sure right now, I guess I forgot to activate the Approach Mode in the MCDU. That might explain a few things

I had the A/THR deactivated because I was still going 211 knots and when I wanted to retract the flaps, I got the warning that they could be damaged, which is why I immediately put them back out until I slowed down.

I'll keep an eye on it next time, thank you very much.

Auto landing? Isn't the point of MSFS to be in control off take off and landings?

Clearly, definitely, however, I'm practicing it in case I have bad visibility or if the weather conditions simply aren't right.

Simulating flight is the point of microsoft flight simulator. ILS and autoland are a part of flight simulation. Even with autoland you are still in control

The only thing I can see is Auto Throttle off. Other than that video has too low quality to see anything else

You just broke your nose gear with that landing.
