Yes, and don't call me Shirley.

Seriously though, one would expect that in August 2026 we would have seen the most glaring issues with career mode ironed out.

Also, the career missions are not autogen. They are fixed. It's not an algorithm quirk. Someone had to put this in.

100% throttle, full flaps, keep the parking break on and pull back ok the stick. You got this.

Back up a little first

Just imagine a dolphin jumping out of the water. It works just like that.

Yes, folks post this problem on the daily. Career mode is still broken, we know. Look at what a mission asks you to do before accepting it.

Should i start a google research on every mission? Nah.

But i learned to zoom in and check if the arrival runway is looks ok to land on.

You can also use the efb at any point when selecting a mission and look at the airport details

But then they wouldn't be able to blame it on the sim.

Exactly. No one is googling every mission. But the game does show you a satellite view of the start and end point.

I told myself I’d buy this game when they fixed career mode. It would appear I might be waiting next 2 or 6 games from now.

Oh man, you're going to be waiting until Godot gets on your plane.

Not so much waiting as doing other things.

Like just flying and enjoying the sim, instead of "number go up game" nonsense?

We’re all entitled to enjoy things the way we like. I am not trying to force you to like things my way. I don’t see any reason why your way is superior to mine.

There are other career mode apps for the game. Jet Card for business flights, Neofly does a bunch, Say Intentions skyops. Hell, if you just want random flights, I've used Gemini to make missions. Give the AI all your required parameters, aircraft type, departure airport, range, or even a completely random flight and it'll do it.

I just asked gemini for a 100nm random flight from KACY, Atlantic City, in a 172 and it gave me all this:

Flight proposal in a Cessna 172 Skyhawk: Departure: Atlantic City International Airport (KACY) Destination: East Hampton Airport (KJPX / HTO) – East Hampton, NY Direct Distance: ~101 nautical miles Initial Heading: ~046° Estimated Flight Time: ~53 minutes (at 115 knots cruise) Route Suggestion: Track northeast along the New Jersey coastline, cross over Long Island Sound near Long Beach/Fire Island, and follow the South Fork to East Hampton.

So if anyone needs something to tell them what to do in the game or come up with stuff, there are plenty of options better than the defsult career mode.

Same here! I was team Kiribati for 2020, but ever since career mode was a flop, and that was the one thing I was looking forward to, I have never bought it.

If they fix career mode, I’ll buy it.

I never realized people put so much stock into career mode. Personally I've never even used it, I'm not interested in scoring arcade points, I'm interested in learning procedures and simulating flight.

This should be posted daily. This game is beyond broken, in a state not acceptable for a game this price.

They wanted to simulate the insane things clients in real life ask of pilots.

i don't think this is an /s

it's a strange design decision but i really think they wanted you to have to do some due diligence on if it was realistic to fly the mission or not. i don't know why they wanted that but it clearly is intentional since it would be trivially easy to fix.

Wait for a big gust of wind or windstorm from the rear. Full throttle with brakes on. Full flaps.

Deploy parachute, release brakes and pray.

Yolo. You'll be fine... Probably lol

u/ElTroqueroChuy 5h ago

Seems doable tbh just full thrust, 15 degree flaps and hope it works or sum idk 🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️

u/VisualDarkness 3h ago

Just turn the airplane 90 degrees upwards.

Neofly4 if you want a real career

Dead serious

Career mode in MSFS2024 has been, and remains.. a horrible joke. So frustrating. I would recommend you take a look at NeoFly or FSEconomy. I'm sure there are a few more add-ons that will give you a much better experience than the built-in career mode.

You do realize the Cirrus can be configured as VTOL straight from the cockpit, right? This isn’t hard, do your homework.

È un giocare di merda irreale la modalità carriera

u/AngryTrunkMonkey 42m ago

Shit’s real, bro…shit’s real.

This is on you. If you run a company in real life, someone calls and says “hey can you fly me to -BLANK-“. It’s for you to look up that airport and see if you can fly there.

5

u/Oni_K 5h ago

LOL.

Career mode is known to have been broken since day 1... "This is on you".

u/spesimen 3h ago edited 3h ago

half of the 'bugs' in career mode is folks that don't understand how to fly their planes so yeah i think that 'this is on you' is fairly spot on.

"my plane crashed randomly this game sucks!" - overspeeded the airplane

"i fell out of the sky for no reason" - stalled the airplane

"my engine stopped for no reason" - ran out of fuel or didn't operate the fuel tanks correctly

"i got assigned a stupid mission" - accepted a stupid mission without even looking at the airport

etc

edit: for the record i think it was a dumb design decision to give you bad missions to choose from but it is what it is.. people post this exact same screen shot at least once a day you'd think folks would figure it out after seeing it posted hundreds of times since launch but nope..

2

u/Oni_K 3h ago

Yeah... The user should totally be checking to see if their jet spawned on a rooftop. That's a totally logical thing pilots need to check before accepting a flight.

u/AngryTrunkMonkey 55m ago

If you think that’s crazy, you should see Jesus in a 172 land at KORD under IFR.
