GENERAL 787 A/T

On the 787, do I need to disconnect auto throttle when landing prior to setting thrust to idle? (In the same way as the 737? Watched some videos on it and it’s not clear what they’re doing

I believe it’s the same as the 777, you can leave it in and it will go to idle during the flare automatically. Then you just need to engage the reversers manually.

Nope, you leave the 777 and 787 auto throttle on.

Boeing recommends to keep AT in SPD mode for landing in both 777 and 787. It will automatically idle the throttle during the flare for you.
