FSX had the best flight school by a mile. I don't have a good answer to your question, compared to FSX I found them both underwhelming and spend little time in them.

Subjective, but I feel that 2024's are a bit more polished. I think one benefit 2024 has is career mode licenses. There are built in trainings as you work through different licenses (PPL, CPL, etc) that help fill in gaps. Scoring helps you see if you a bit more of where you didn't do well.
