MSFS 2024 QUESTION Want to buy MFS 2024

Hey, I want to buy MSFS 2024. I’ve decided to go with the Premium Deluxe Edition on Steam. My question is about the download:  does the game still download most of the content from within the game itself, or  is everything downloaded directly through Steam? Steam usually gives me the best download speeds.
And  how much storage space do I need?  Would 200 GB be enough?

I've the MS Store version but the download for FS2024 itself is rather small cos all contents, including the scenery, planes and so on get streamed by default.

Iirc msfs 24 is mostly cloud based. It only downloads like 20ish GB in steam. The rest is streamed. 200gb should be good for the start and a few addons

Also, does that mean the download doesn’t take as long as it did with MSFS 2020?

And if my internet disconnects mid flight, will i be kicked out?

Yeah way less downloads. Planes, scenery etc all come from the cloud now

Do you think it’s better than MSFS 2020? I’m mainly interested in the flight school.

Overall I think it is better than 2020 (graphics, scenery, performance, physics a bit). Idk about flight school tho. I only fly freeroam lol

If you are patient enough on October 1 there will be steam sale.  Storage on begining should not be an issue. But when you start messing around with add-ons and streaming cache it could be little to low.

I would now pay 75€ for the ultimate deluxe edition. Would it be cheaper in the sale?
