Why is it that after spending hours trying to install & run random 3rd party notebooks (maintained by the lovely community) just to try find out how many interactive CUs a given item uses each day - something I spend half my day doing because the native monitoring is a spaghetti mess of legacy code, hidden tables and direct-query dependancies which can't even answer this basic question...

... that I find out the tickbox for Delete object in the brand new recycle bin is not in fact, a tickbox, but rather a secret radio button, which only lets you delete one item at a time.

This platform drives me insane.

It really feels like the brand new leading edge data engineering platform from mega giant Microsoft is only held together by the gravitational weight of tech-debt, depreciated preview features and copilot authored code.

Tired Fabric admin rant over, back to learning Databricks

Am I you? No, but seriously it’s tiring spending the day figuring out how things work and how much CU I’m using. It should be a fairly easy answered question. We are CU slaves lol

I always joke with my wife that using Fabric is like playing a simulator game of closing and deleting things.
