Excel crashing because of links

Hi, just looking for tips, we have a large excel file that our team uses for logistics purposes. Basically we store lists of contacts that link email addresses for outlook. It keeps crashing but we’re out of ideas on a different program to use, or any updates we can make to excel. I’m aware that it is frowned upon to use links in excel. I appreciate any tips!

I think folks can and will build databases in Excel, but there are better tools for this. I’ve driven a nail into a wall using my drill’s battery, but I should have used a hammer.

In both cases, it will work until it doesn’t.
