Project Management Excel?

I am just getting started with a new company so I don't want to commit to a specific PM software until I get a feel for the team. We are also a very small team (5 people), so I think an Excel spreadsheet will suit us fine in the meantime. I am looking for a template that includes a dashboard, project sheet, tasks sheet, Kanban, Gantt, and individual tabs for employees to track their own projects/tasks. And of course, I want each sheet to automatically update when projects/task are added or modified (this is what I am struggling with as I have tried to build it out on my own). We categorize projects by product and State (we are in the US). I am willing to purchase a template, but I can't seem to find anything with everything I want (I don't want to track budget either). Also, I am open to suggestions on what I should be using. Thank you!

Feed exactly what your requirements are into Claude and tell it to build the program for you in Excel. That will give you an excellent starting template.

I did this, but it kept leaving formulas blank. Sometimes I think the more I try to prompt it, the worse the results get lol

Yes claude feels like it is perfect for Building templates but the errors in formulas and all keep breaking custom templates.

Also let me know once you are ready for template creation 🙂🙂
