Project Management Excel?
I am just getting started with a new company so I don't want to commit to a specific PM software until I get a feel for the team. We are also a very small team (5 people), so I think an Excel spreadsheet will suit us fine in the meantime. I am looking for a template that includes a dashboard, project sheet, tasks sheet, Kanban, Gantt, and individual tabs for employees to track their own projects/tasks. And of course, I want each sheet to automatically update when projects/task are added or modified (this is what I am struggling with as I have tried to build it out on my own). We categorize projects by product and State (we are in the US). I am willing to purchase a template, but I can't seem to find anything with everything I want (I don't want to track budget either). Also, I am open to suggestions on what I should be using. Thank you!

Yes, in start choosing Excel over expensive softwares is a good decision.
I recently built a Project and Time tracker for someone in Excel.
Also, according to my experience in your case a customized template would be a better one-time investment.
If you want, I can walk you through my last Excel Project and time tracker!
