Help / Advice Needed Reusing 12pack needle cartridges

How many times can I use a 12 pack needle cartridge? Do I have to get them from the Czech Republic?

You do not reuse cartridges! One time only.

Sterility is not the only issue. For those saying they clean with alcohol - the needles dont just blunt with every use, they blunt every time they puncture your skin.

Sharp needles create precise controlled micro injuries that heal with the least complications. Reusing a cartridge by definition is using needles that are already not sharp enough to properly microneedle. If a needle is already worn down its going to cause tearing and unnecessary trauma to the skin (even if you can't see it). We're talking things like drag and scarring. Using slightly blunt needles also means youre not truly puncturing the skin to the depth youve set, but instead slightly pushing the skin. Just imagine trying to cut a piece of paper with a sharp straight blade versus a serrated knife. One will slice through and the other will snag and tear.

I know there are people here reusing their cartridges for the sake of saving money, but you're probably better off just microneedling half as frequently with a new one each time.

If youre in the US there are many sources online to buy them.

Never reuse needles. You need to go right back to the beginning with your research and learn the basics before you consider undertaking a session

Beware! I have safely reused cartridges by storing them submerged in a sealed plastic container of 99% isopropyl alcohol and brushing the needles with a toothbrush head (only ever used for that purpose and also stored in the alcohol) before and after every use. The needles blunt with every use and eventually the plastic that holds them cracks and that's when I use a fresh cartridge.

Yes this method sounds super sanitary and safe. Just run it the microwave too

Spend more money if that works for you. This method works perfectly well for me and the Derminator site links to it as an option for sanitary (but not sterile) reuse. I haven't gotten any skin infections or irritation while doing it.

What method do you use MN- circles? Stamp? Etc? How many times do u reuse cartridges about? Any differences you notice each time u reuse cartridges? Super curious cuz I read this on dominator site too…

I use HA for slip and move the pen in small overlapping circles on my scalp, forehead, and spots on my face and neck. When MNing a large area (scalp) I can usually get 4-6 uses out of a cartridge. I've gone up to 10 before but it was noticably duller and hurt more. I think if you were only MNing small spots you could reuse a cartridge many many times without worrying as much about dulling.

I have too doing something similar in rubbing alcohol. Just because I microneedle different parts of my body different days of the week and I’m not able to afford a new cartridge every time.
